Of course, it is strange to inhabit
the earth no longer, To give up customs one
barely had time to learn ...

The Human body is a very fragile thing. It has
many needs which must be provided for. What type of habitats will
the future be using? The varieties of future habitat will be as
diverse as the places we decide to live.
Venture Star
- Venture
Star A new era of business opportunity and commerce is
on the horizon. Beginning in 2004, VentureStar will be fully operational
and ready for use. As a result, space will become a much more
accessible marketplace and the possibilities for growth and development
will be nearly limitless. VentureStar will change the way the
world thinks about traveling to -and from- space. In the process,
it might just change the world.
Space Station SkyLab
- Project
Skylab America's first experimental space station. Designed
for long duration mission, Skylab program objectives were twofold:
To prove that humans could live and work in space for extended
periods, and to expand our knowledge of solar astronomy well
beyond Earth-based observations. Successful in all respects
despite early mechanical difficulties, three three-man crews
occupied the Skylab workshop for a total of 171 days, 13 hours.
It was the site of nearly 300 scientific and technical experiments:
medical experiments on humans' adaptability to zero gravity,
solar observations, and detailed Earth resources experiments.
The empty Skylab spacecraft returned to Earth July 11, 1979
scattering debris over the Indian Ocean and the sparsely settled
region of Western Australia.
The MIR Space Station

written by Chris van der Bergh about the Mir Space Station in
1999. Most of this site is in Dutch.
- Where
is MIR? This site will give you an exact location of
where MIR currently is in the sky. It is a great resource.
