Lunar
Images of the moon have inspired the human
race ever since we first looked up from our fires thousands of years
ago and wondered what was up there.

This picture was taken the summer of 2000.
Picture information: EOS-3, Meade LX-10 8" SCT,
exposure 1/500sec, Fuji 800
 Taken with a Vesta Pro Webcam adapted to a C8 at prime focus.
 Taken by hand-holding a Nikon 990 Digital Camera
up to the eyepiece of my 10" LX-200 (f/10) with a 35mm Televue Panoptic.
Exposure was automatically selected by the camera. Couldn't be easier.

 The image below was taken on August 4th, 2000 by Gregory Phillips
in Seattle Washington. Using an Olympus D-400 zoom digital camera
just held up to the eyepiece. The exposure time is automatic.The
Scope was a Meade LX-200 10" F / 6.3 with a Meade 40mm wide angle
eyepiece.
 The image of Clavius below was taiken by Arpad Kovacsy
with a Nikon Coolpix 950 digicam attached to a Celestron CR150HD
6" achromatic refractor, University Optics 12.5mm Ortho and Orion
2X Barlow. This image was also published in the October 2000 issue
of Sky & Telescope.
 The images below of the Moon were all done by
Steve Koerber.
They were done on a Meade ETX125 at prime focus
with an SAC IV Color CCD camera 1/60 sec.
     The image below was taken by John Judish from a piggy-backed
Nikon.
This moon shot was done with a 1/1000 exposure at prime focus.
 The below image was taken by Bert. This moon photo was take on
October the 13th (Friday) 2000 in Atlanta Texas. The camera is an
Olympus D-360L digital camera. The image was taken through a pair
of Visoner 12x60 binoculars while hand holding the camera to the
eyepiece.
