Aircraft Museums
- National
Air and Space Museum (NASM) maintains the largest
collection of historic air and spacecraft in the world. It is
also a vital center for research into the history, science, and
technology of aviation and space flight.
- Museum
of Flight Featuring 54 of the world's most awe-inspiring
airplanes authentic and in mint condition. In the steel and glass
Great Gallery, the history of aviation soars past, with dozens
of full-size aircraft flying in formation six stories above.
- The
National Warplane Museum is an educational institution
founded to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit military aviation
memorabilia and to fly military aircraft. The Museum honors the
men and women who made sacrifices in defense of their country
and in the preservation of world freedom.

Pima
Air & Space Museum opened to the public in
May 1976 with 75 aircraft on display. Since then the museum
collection has grown to over 250 aircraft occupying 80 acres
of land. The entire museum property covers about 150 acres.This
wonderful place and the bone yard in Tucson, AZ (where I grew
up) continues to inspire me. Every time I go back the variety
of aircraft dazzles me.
Experimental Aircraft
- The Experimental
Aircraft Association was founded in 1953 by a group
of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in
building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization
expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds,
aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary
manufactured aircraft.

Aviation, in particular Homebuilt Aircraft. It is an index containing
links to companies sites, information on companies that don't
have their own web page, a list of builders and owners of Homebuilts
that have an email address, design software, and much more.
Other Aircraft Sites
- Fantasy
of Flight was created in 1993 as an educational non-profit
foundation with a program objective to use the excitement of aviation
as an incentive towards creating a greater interest in science,
math and technology. It has an office and learning center at the
Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, Colorado.
