Satellites
We use satellites in our daily lives from cell phones to
communicate with to gps devices that allow us to navigate the Earth better
than we have ever been able to before. These wonderful objects spinning
around the Earth at thousands of miles per hour will continue to change
our lives in ways we never thought possible.
- Center
for Space Microelectronics Technology The Center for
Space Microelectronics Technology (CSMT) was founded in 1987
at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), an operating division
of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). The National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and several Department
of Defense agencies with space responsibilities established
CSMT in order to create a critical-mass program in space microelectronics
with world-class facilities, equipment, and staff.

Tracker If you're interested in satellites or astronomy,
you've come to the right place! Our aim is to provide you with
all the information you need to observe; satellites Mir and
the International Space Station the Space Shuttle the dazzlingly
bright flares from Iridium satellites as well as a wealth of
other spaceflight and astronomical information. Many people
don't even realize that satellites can easily be seen with the
naked eye. We not only provide the times of visibility, but
also detailed star charts showing the satellite's track through
the heavens. All our pages, including the graphics, are generated
in real-time and customized for your location and time zone.
- The
Satellite Situation Center (SSCWeb) The software and
associated database of the Satellite Situation Center (SSC)
together form a system to cast spacecraft locationinformation
into a framework of (empirical) geophysical ...

Physical Oceanography DAAC The Physical Oceanography
Distributed Active Archive Center(DAAC) distributes satellite
derived oceans data including sea surface temperatures, ocean
winds, altimeter and scatterometer products. ..

Science Missions A list of Space Science missions which
are unmanned. The list includes Those missions Under Study (These
missions are in the study phase. They are either: near the start
of development; potential development starts selected under
an Announcement of Opportunity; or specifically identified as
a potential future mission in the OSS Strategic Plan.), In Development
(The list is organized in order of scheduled launch/completion;
dates are subject to change.), Currently Operating, and Past
Missions (These missions ceased operations after 1989.)
